SpletThe Meidum Pyramid is an ancient Egyptian pyramid located approximately 100 km to the south of modern-day Cairo. It is believed to be the second pyramid built after the Step Pyramid of Djoser. It is also believed to have been the first attempt at building a smooth or flat-sided pyramid. The pyramid at Meidum is thought to be just the second pyramid built after Djoser's and may have been originally built for Huni, the last pharaoh of the Third Dynasty, and continued by Sneferu.
